FARM
Romeldale AKA California Variegated Mutant (CVM)
Romeldales are a relatively new breed that was created in the United States by crossing the Romney and Rambouillet breeds to create a dual purpose meat and wool sheep. Along the way, a subset of these sheep was discovered to have a unique pattern hidden underneath their white wool. When they lacked the dominant white wool allele, they were found to have a badgerface like appearance that was dubbed CVM or California Variegated Mutant.
At Different Things Farm, we are fascinated by the genetics behind CVMs and the myriad of naturally colored wools that they can produce. We are very excited to own some of our own mutants!

Rams
Below are current and recent past flock sires.

Ewes
While rams certainly tend to get the most attention, our ewes are the backbone of our flock.
